- What is a deductible?
A deductible is the amount the driver is responsible for paying in case of an accident, damage, theft, or loss according to the included and contracted protections. For rates labeled WITH DEDUCTIBLE, please consult our team for details on the applicable deductible amounts.
- What is included in my reservation?
Our portal offers different types of rates, and their inclusions may vary depending on the selected rental company.
The main types of rates available are: Basic without protection – Includes only local taxes and unlimited/controlled mileage. Basic with deductible– Includes collision damage waiver (CDW) and theft protection with a deductible, local taxes, and unlimited/controlled mileage. Basic without deductible – Includes collision damage waiver (CDW) and theft protection without a deductible, local taxes, and unlimited/controlled mileage. Inclusive with deductible– Includes collision damage waiver (CDW) and theft protection with a deductible, third-party liability protection, local taxes, and unlimited/controlled mileage. Inclusive without deductible/reduced deductible– Includes collision damage waiver (CDW) and theft protection without a deductible or with a reduced deductible, third-party liability protection, local taxes, and unlimited/controlled mileage. Super inclusive– Includes collision damage waiver (CDW) and theft protection without a deductible, third-party liability protection, local taxes, additional driver, and unlimited/controlled mileage. - What do the protections cover?
CDW (Collision Damage Waiver): Protection for damage caused to the rental vehicle in case of collision, damage, and fire, provided it is proven that the damage was caused by the driver and did not result from improper use of the vehicle. It does not cover tire damage, glass damage, or improper refueling. Deductibles apply.
SUPER CDW (CDW Deductible Waiver): An extension of the CDW that waives or reduces the deductible amount in case of a CDW claim.
TP (Theft Protection): Protection against theft and loss of the vehicle. Deductibles apply. TP protection does not cover the theft, loss, or damage of equipment, accessories, or personal belongings.
SUPER TP (TP Deductible Waiver): An extension of the TP that waives or reduces the deductible amount in case of a TP claim.
ALI, EP, SLI, TPL, LIS, or Third Party (Supplemental Liability Insurance): Provides supplemental coverage up to a predetermined amount in case of personal and/or material damage claims against third parties, including permanent disability or death. The coverage amount may vary depending on the location, rental company, and nature of the claim.
- What additional protections can be purchased?
The main products offered locally are:
PAI (Personal Accident Insurance): Personal accident coverage for the driver. PEC (Personal Effects Coverage): Coverage for personal belongings. RSN (Roadside Assistance): 24-hour roadside assistance covering issues such as fuel shortage, key replacement, and more. Glass and tire protection: Coverage for glass and tire damage. Deductible reducer/waiver: Waives or reduces the deductible amount for the reserved category. The nomenclature and protections offered locally may vary depending on the rental company and destination. I recommend that you carefully review the rental agreement provided when picking up the vehicle. If you have any questions or concerns, please clarify them with the counter staff as soon as possible.
Cancellation/No Show Policy
- Cancellation before pickup:
Some rates have a penalty policy for changes and cancellations within certain periods. Please carefully review the quotation, confirmation, and voucher provided.
- Delay/No Show:
Any delay must be notified to the rental company prior to the date and time specified in the reservation confirmation. The rental company reserves the right not to provide the reserved vehicle.
The rules for NO SHOW may vary depending on the location and the rental company, and can range from 1 hour to 12 hours after the reserved pickup time.
